Selwyn School is now SunSmart Accredited!
What this means:
In Terms 4 & 1...
- Children and staff will be required to wear a hat when playing or learning outside when at school.
- Children and staff will be encouraged to wear sunscreen.
- Children without a hat will need to play in the shade.
SunSmart Bucket hats will be on sale at school later this term. They will come in a variety of cool colours and sizes to suit everyone. Or alternatively, you can provide a SunSmart hat from home. Bucket, Legionnaire and wide brimmed hats are great. Hats will stay at school so they are readily available when needed.
Caps are NOT a SunSmart hat as they do not protect the ears or neck, so please do not send caps to school.
